ROPE BOWLS
Ah rope, my second all time fave material. Here I explored how a soft material can gain strength and rigidity solely by the way it is manipulated. The material does not change, and if unraveled, it returns to its original texture.
I used rope in a process comparable to weaving and bowl turning, I made these vessels with a sewing machine.
